Job Description
Join our team at Lantern Hill by Erickson Senior Living as a Sous Chef! As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in our Signature Dining program, delivering chef-inspired culinary creations in our fine dining restaurants and nursing venues. With a focus on scratch cooking and a passion for great food, teamwork, and culinary excellence, you will contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily kitchen production and food preparation to ensure timely service of resident meals.
- Supervise all culinary staff, including scheduling, training, and maintaining kitchen sanitation.
- Ensure accurate preparation and service of menu items, following recipes, food safety standards, and dietary restrictions.
- Oversee the organization and cleanliness of dining areas, kitchen, and storage spaces.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of full-service culinary experience.
- At least 6 months of supervisory and coaching experience.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of a certified culinary program or college is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds and work in varied temperatures.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
