General Summary
The Radiology Technologist will perform diagnostic exams in general radiology under supervision, ensuring accurate and efficient procedures. Responsibilities include acquiring patient history, monitoring patients during exams, and adhering to radiation protection principles.
Essential Duties
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following patient verification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient history and document in medical records.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Utilize ALARA standards for radiation exposure minimization.
- Provide procedural information to patients and families.
- Assist in training of students and new hires.
- Maintain competency in all assigned areas.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT required upon hire.
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT required within 180 days.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA required upon hire.
