Job Description
Corewell Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Radiology Technologist at Corewell Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services with a patient-centered approach.
General Summary
As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in various radiology areas, ensuring patient safety and providing clear images for interpretation. You will uphold radiation protection principles, comply with regulations, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Essential Duties
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following patient verification and physician orders.
- Acquire and document accurate patient history in medical records.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Utilize age-appropriate methods for imaging procedures.
- Communicate effectively with staff and patients.
- Operate imaging equipment proficiently and adhere to quality control standards.
- Minimize radiation exposure following ALARA standards.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients and families.
- Assist in training new employees and students.
- Maintain competency in various diagnostic areas.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT required upon hire.
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT required within 180 days.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA required upon hire.
