Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health on a full-time basis during afternoons. This position offers increased pay rates and a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in performing diagnostic exams in various areas of general radiology under supervision while upholding the highest standards of patient care.
General Summary
Under supervision, the Radiology Technologist conducts accurate and efficient diagnostic exams, ensures patient safety, and follows radiation protection protocols. The role includes acquiring patient histories, monitoring patients during procedures, and collaborating effectively with colleagues and medical staff.
Essential Duties
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following proper verification procedures.
- Acquire and document accurate patient histories.
- Monitor patient safety during procedures.
- Conduct radiographic and patient care procedures using appropriate methods.
- Communicate effectively with various departments and colleagues.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and adhere to quality control policies.
- Provide procedural education to patients and families.
- Assist in training new staff and students.
- Maintain competency in assigned areas.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper stocking of exam rooms.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) and CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration required.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
