Write Up Inspector

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Write-Up Inspector to join our team at Union Tank Car Company - UTLX. As a Write-Up Inspector, you will play a crucial role in performing thorough inbound railcar inspections, creating accurate estimate packages, and supporting plant production. If you are detail-oriented, have excellent research skills, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound railcars and create comprehensive estimate packages.
• Conduct preprocess research to ensure accuracy.
• Work with engineering, car owners, and customers to verify repair instructions.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for supplemental repairs.

Working Conditions

• Climb ladders, lift objects, and enter tank cars to perform inspections.
• Demonstrate stamina, visual acuity, and safety awareness in a manufacturing environment.
• Be willing to work overtime and wear necessary safety equipment.
