CERTIFIED PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Certified Pathology Assistant to join Campbell County Health, the most comprehensive healthcare provider in Wyoming. As a Certified Pathologists' Assistant, your primary responsibility will be handling the routine daily specimen grossing workload and assisting in specialized procedures under the supervision of the Pathologist.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure proper specimen accessioning and preparation.
• Assist in various procedures including Frozen sections, EBUS, and Bone Marrow procedures.
• Dissection of surgical specimens and preparation for histologic processing.
• Coordinate with pathologists for preliminary anatomic diagnosis completion.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field.
• Completion of a National Accrediting Agency Clinical Laboratory Science Program (NAACLS).
• ASCP Certification as a Certified Pathology Assistant.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
