Job Description
Discover Financial Services is looking for a dedicated Principal Application Engineer to join our innovative team. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex front-ends focusing on user experience.
- Build and enhance backend systems.
- Plan and integrate new systems within the team's ecosystem.
- Innovate and advocate for best practices, staying current with technology trends.
- Create and manage DevOps processes and application infrastructure.
- Provide support for live systems to ensure business continuity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Computer Science or related field.
- Alternatively, 10+ years of experience in the absence of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of programs like Full Stack Academy or General Assembly.
- Experience with containerization platforms and cloud providers.
- Proficiency in key technologies such as Java, Python, and CI/CD.
- Hands-on knowledge of React JS, Javascript, and CSS.
- Strong understanding of software testing and high availability design.
