Field Service Technician

Job Description

Astrophysics Inc., a global leader in X-Ray security inspection systems, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team. This full-time position based in or near El Paso, Texas, involves on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of Astrophysics products at various customer locations across the United States. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, customer service orientation, and a commitment to ensuring top-notch security solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, preventative, and corrective maintenance of X-Ray inspection systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to ensure optimal performance.
• Complete service documentation accurately and on time, including reports, parts requisitions, and expense reports.
• Maintain service databases and update headquarters on service call progress.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, promote extended warranty contracts, and provide technical training.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or related field, or 2-7 years of technical support or field service experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to travel to various work sites.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities, with fluency in written and verbal English.
