Job Description
AVTEC FINISHING is seeking a skilled Manufacturing/Production Maintenance Technician to join our team full-time. This crucial role requires a versatile individual with expertise in mechanical, electrical, welding, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing/production environment by promptly addressing mechanical and operational issues to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical malfunctions independently.
- Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines, including lockout/tagout protocols.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
Requirements
- Trade school training or equivalent experience required.
- Proficiency in basic welding techniques and equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in English with good communication and teamwork abilities.
Compensation
Offering a competitive wage range of $26-$32+ per hour, with a $1,500 signing bonus for new hires. Full-time position with 1st Shift hours (7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday).
