Job Description

AVTEC FINISHING is seeking an experienced Manufacturing/Production Maintenance Technician to join our team. This jack-of-all-trades position requires a unique individual with mechanical aptitude to handle various tasks in our manufacturing/production environment, such as carpentry, electrical, welding, machine maintenance, plumbing, and HVAC. The primary responsibility is to ensure the shop's continuous operation by promptly fixing mechanical issues and minimizing downtime.

The successful candidate will perform preventive and routine maintenance tasks, including basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work. In addition, the employee must have the ability to troubleshoot equipment and refer complex work to experienced maintenance personnel. This full-time position involves working the 1st shift and may require on-call availability during nights and weekends.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Desired:

  • Trade school training or equivalent 2 years of experience.
  • Willingness to acquire additional training (e.g., boilers license).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical malfunctions.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in reading blueprints, diagrams, and assembly drawings, as well as performing basic welding tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Fluency in the English language and effective communication skills.

Wage Range: $26-$32+/hour depending on experience and training.

Signing Bonus: $1,500.00 (Not available for current employees).

1st Shift Hours: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
