Job Description
We are looking for a Medication Care Manager to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. The primary responsibility of this role is to administer medications and treatments to our residents in a safe and organized manner while upholding our mission to champion quality of life for seniors. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and care of our residents by following federal, state, and local regulations and Sunrise Senior Living policies.
Responsibilities
As a Medication Care Manager, you will be entrusted with the following tasks:
- Administer medications and treatments with the highest degree of quality care.
- Document medication administration accurately.
- Communicate effectively with the Resident Care Director regarding medication updates.
- Maintain medication carts and treatment areas for cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and infection control protocols.
- Contribute to team success by actively participating in meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED (certifications may be required based on state/provincial regulations).
- Prior experience working with seniors is preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and make decisions in the residents' best interest.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated judgment and problem-solving abilities.
