Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner - APRN (Mid-Level) to join our team at Cibola General Hospital. As a mid-level provider, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics, under the direction of the Supervisory Physician. Your duties will include accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, education, and follow-up care, as well as proper record maintenance.

Primary Functions

  • Examine patients, record history, and adhere to proper charting protocols.
  • Collaborate with Physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive plans.
  • Order tests or images, analyze results, diagnose, and report findings to patients.
  • Administer treatment and medications, promote health through advice on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Inoculate, vaccinate, perform minor surgery, and refer patients to specialists as needed for their well-being.
  • Report deaths and contagious diseases to relevant authorities.
  • Perform additional assigned responsibilities.

Education and Experience

  • Must hold and maintain a current State of New Mexico license in good standing.
  • Current National Board Certification and DEA registration.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, electronic).
  • Initiative, creativity, problem-solving ability, and collaboration skills for quality healthcare provision.

Additional Qualifications

  • Prior experience with electronic medical records systems.
  • Bilingualism in English/Spanish preferred, but not mandatory.

Relationship Reporting

Reports to the Clinic Administrator/Chief of Staff.

Physical Requirements

  • Effective communication and collaboration with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to use electronics (computers, printer, scanner) and perform tasks for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity for hand and wrist movements, handling, feeling, and reaching.
