Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team at a reputable daycare company. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with lead educators to create a nurturing and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of our young learners.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teacher in planning and implementing educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs.
- Supervise children, maintain a clean and organized learning space, and provide individual attention when necessary.
- Facilitate group activities to enhance social and cooperative skills, and assist with daily routines and care.
- Communicate effectively with parents, prepare teaching materials, manage resources, and participate in professional development.
- Enforce policies, support special needs children, encourage creativity, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; early childhood education coursework preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a daycare or educational setting.
- Understanding of child development, effective communication, and collaborative skills.
- Patience, flexibility, basic first aid/CPR knowledge, and ability to lift and engage with children.
