Truss Designer (on-site)

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Truss Designer to join Better Living Inc.'s team on-site. In this role, you will be responsible for creating roof and floor truss placement layouts and/or wall panels, adhering to our design practices and guidelines. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for precision, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Design roof and floor trusses using MiTek software to ensure accuracy and optimization.
• Create truss placement layouts based on architectural prints.
• Specify necessary hardware and maintain detailed Job Tracking Sheet.
• Provide customer support and follow-up as needed.
• Keep plans organized and up-to-date.
• Attend meetings as required by supervisors.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with MiTek Management program is mandatory.
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural blueprints.
• Good communication skills and the ability to manage projects independently.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in building component design.
• Familiarity with local building codes related to truss design.
