Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Matheny School and Hospital. In this full-time role based in Newton, NJ, you will serve as a primary nurse for a caseload of community residents, providing skilled professional nursing care and ensuring continuity of care and coordination of care plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to community residents.
- Interact with community residence and day program staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Facilitate teamwork between nurses, DSP’s, and clinical departments.
- Orient new staff members and conduct education on resident health issues.
- Coordinate care and provide staff training to foster consumers' health.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and review residents' records.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and staff meetings.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment, communicate effectively, and manage time efficiently.

Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred.
- 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Valid NJ Registered Nurse license and Driver's License.
