Principal Release Manager

Job Description

Discover Financial Services is seeking a talented Principal Release Manager to join our team. As the Release Manager, you will be responsible for managing the release management life cycle, coordinating releases across the Agile Release Train, and recommending tools and services for product management and scrum teams. You will lead and coach teams to identify, manage, and escalate risks, ensuring effective risk management.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams across all locations.
• Plan release windows and cycles across the Portfolio/ART, resolving issues affecting scope, schedule, and quality.
• Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in Software Release Management or related field.
• Experience in DevOps/Automation or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong accountability and progression of the release process.
• Implementation and validation plan development.
• Coordination of several application teams within a twice-monthly release schedule.
