Job Description

Discover Financial Services is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer (Cloud Security) to design the Cybersecurity engineering roadmap, deliver secure systems, and drive Cybersecurity solutions in a high-velocity culture. As the Principal Cybersecurity Engineer, you will provide strategic direction, leadership, and subject matter expertise on Cybersecurity technologies while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity architecture and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as the principal advisor on Cybersecurity matters.
• Operate cloud security products, analyze potential security threats, and ensure protection and detection capabilities align with organizational cybersecurity architecture.
• Explore technology trends, maintain Cybersecurity technology roadmap, and build relationships with internal and external partners.
• Oversee successful project implementation and integrate new Cybersecurity solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with scripting, coding, and automation.
• Knowledge of Cloud architecture, Restful Services, AWS, OpenShift, and access control systems.
