Mechanic/Technician Apprentice (Meadowbrook) at Utah Transit Authority
We are looking for a Mechanic/Technician Apprentice to join our team at Meadowbrook. The successful candidate will participate in related technical instruction and attend classroom instruction to demonstrate competency in various modules such as Preventative Maintenance, Electrical, Brakes, Air Systems, and more. This is a four-year progression program where apprentices will receive hands-on training under supervision, assist in complex repairs, and eventually advance to the Journeyist classification upon graduation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Requires a current or ability to acquire a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement within 60 days.
- Successful candidates must meet specific requirements related to a driver's license, aptitude and standardized tests, and possess the required tools.
- Must have a 2-year degree in a related field, military MOS, technical school experience with related technical experience, or 6 months of UTA experience at the TVT/Helper level.
Shift
9:00 pm to 7:30 am with Sunday/Monday/Tuesday off. Pay Rate: $25.33 - $29.33 per hour plus shift differentials. Apply before March 11, 2024, to be considered for this opportunity.
