We are looking for a Mechanic/Technician Apprentice to join our team at the Utah Transit Authority. This position is part of a competency-based program where apprentices will gain hands-on experience in maintenance and repair work under supervision.
Job Responsibilities
- Participate in technical instruction and classroom training to demonstrate competency in various modules such as Preventative Maintenance, Electrical, Brakes, and more.
- Assist advanced-skill employees in complex repairs and rebuild using hand and power tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and associated repairs.
- Work on a shift from 3:00 pm to 1:30 am with Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday off*

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Hold a current or be able to acquire a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement within 60 days of eligibility.
- Have the necessary tools and be able to pass aptitude and standardized tests determined by UTA.
