Mechanical (Solidworks) Engineer - Matteson, IL

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical (Solidworks) Engineer to join our team at Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC in Matteson, IL. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in designing cranes, material handling equipment, and other devices using Solidworks. Your precision in following customer specifications, developing Bills of Materials, and collaborating with other disciplines will ensure the success of turn-key projects and modernization efforts.

Responsibilities

• Design cranes, material handling equipment, and devices in Solidworks.
• Create mechanical drive systems and perform sizing calculations.
• Collaborate with other disciplines for turn-key projects.
• Annotate drawings with relevant symbols.
• Develop Bills of Materials for mechanical designs.
• Provide technical support to installation crews and customers.
• Optimize crane components to reduce costs and improve delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Solidworks or Pro-E.
• Knowledge of ASME, AISC, and CMAA.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
