Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Joyce University on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to facility repairs and general campus maintenance. This position requires proficiency in multiple trades, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.

This part-time role is based on our Draper, UT campus.

Responsibilities

• Handle repair, patching, painting, and finishing tasks to maintain campus aesthetics.
• Repair or replace faulty equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Inspect facilities regularly to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Lift and move furniture, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Assist with furniture assembly and installation.
• Basic cleaning, groundskeeping, and occasional snow removal.
• Basic plumbing and electrical troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with team members and vendors on assigned projects.
• Perform other tasks and projects as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to lift heavy objects.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Licensure in relevant trades is a plus.
