Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Human Resources Technology Analyst specializing in Workday to join Discover Financial Services. As part of this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing Discover's HCM business processes by utilizing your expertise in Workday and related HR technologies. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure effective system operation, configuration, and continuous improvement to meet organizational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Workday configuration and solutioning in collaboration with Product owners.
  • Work closely with the People Analytics team for Workday reporting and dashboard enhancements.
  • Partner with the IT team on integrations and the development of Workday Extend apps.
  • Coach and mentor HR Technology Analysts by sharing Workday expertise.
  • Support Workday release management, review release summaries, and readiness documents, identifying enhancement solutions and downstream system impacts.
  • Collaborate with technology teams and third-party consultants to create and deploy data interfaces and systems integrations.
  • Provide project management oversight for decentralized projects, programs, and initiatives.
  • Stay updated on HRMS trends and technologies, applying key learnings.
  • Recommend process improvements, innovative solutions, and policy changes. Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation to support change management initiatives.
  • Manage and resolve HR system issues, ensuring data quality and service delivery excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Human Resources.
  • 6+ years of experience with Human Capital Management Systems.
  • 3+ years of configuration knowledge of 2 or more Workday modules.
  • 2+ years of advanced Excel experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience with Human Capital Management Systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday partner or Pro Certification strongly desired.
  • Strong communication skills for consultation with customers at all levels.
  • 2+ years of Workday consulting or implementation experience.
  • EIBs and Calculated fields experience preferred.
  • Experience with Agile scrum methodology and tools like ServiceNow and Jira.
