Job Description
Hood Container Corporation is seeking a General Manager to oversee the Houston, Texas Corrugator Plant. This critical role involves leading a team of 180+ employees, setting strategic plans, and achieving organizational goals. Reporting to the Vice President of the Industrial Packaging Business, you will collaborate with senior leadership to drive business impact.
Responsibilities
- Model and advance Guiding Principles & Leadership Characteristics.
- Lead all plant operations including safety, quality, manufacturing, finance, and more.
- Manage plant budget to meet volume and profitability targets.
- Implement continuous improvement plans aligning with organizational vision.
- Develop local leadership and enhance plant efficiency.
- Prioritize safety standards and improve safety protocols.
- Collaborate on Hood Container integration value and capital projects.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years industry experience in a managerial role.
- Financial and capital management proficiency.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Adaptability in an evolving and uncertain environment.
