Engineer III - Tier 1

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Engineer III - Tier 1 to join our team at EarthScope Consortium in Socorro, New Mexico. As an Engineer III, you will work on technical geophysical projects, manage field operations at various sites, and collaborate with engineers to develop innovative solutions. This role involves leadership, technical expertise, and ensuring high standards of performance in alignment with EarthScope's mission.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical lead on geophysical projects involving multiple technologies.
• Strategize and execute project scopes including logistics, installation, maintenance, and network configuration.
• Troubleshoot and integrate geophysical technology, firmware, and software infrastructure.
• Document technical details and provide budget recommendations for projects.
• Collaborate with other departments for project success and community relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related field.
• 7 years of experience with geophysical sensors or networks (Bachelor's) or 4 years (Master's).
• Proficiency in geophysical data processing, data quality analysis, and system design.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
