Director of Accounting

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Director of Accounting to oversee our general ledger and accounting operations at Hercules Poly, Inc. You will be responsible for analyzing financial information, ensuring strong financial internal controls, and preparing financial statements. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the general accounting function, overseeing financial reporting.
• Manage accounting team members across multiple locations.
• Establish policies and systems for financial controls.
• Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and ensure accurate financial transaction recording.
• Coordinate financial reviews/audits with external accountants.
• Provide financial insights for decision-making purposes.
• Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and financial investigations.
• Continuously assess and improve accounting procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5-7 years of accounting supervisory/management experience.
• Experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP software, ideally NetSuite (Oracle).
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Competencies in active listening, critical thinking, negotiation, and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% to other company locations.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
