Mental Health Professional for the Violence Intervention Project

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Mental Health Professional to join our Violence Intervention Project at Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha, Inc. If you are passionate about community outreach, mental health services, and working with diverse populations, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to program participants using the Rewire CBT Model.
• Engage with individuals referred for victims of non-fatal shootings and those at risk of perpetuating violence.
• Conduct community outreach in collaboration with the Violence Intervention team.
• Design and implement therapeutic treatment plans to address mental health challenges and promote well-being.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care for individuals.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in a clinical mental health discipline.
• Proficiency in DAP documentation and Microsoft Word.
• Experience in facilitating psychotherapeutic and educational groups.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
