Counselor (part-time)

Job Description

Lycoming College is looking to hire a part-time Counselor to join our Counseling Services team. The Staff Counselor will provide counseling services to students, develop outreach programs, offer crisis intervention, and supervise training at the Counseling Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy, assessment, and consultation services to students.
• Offer counseling support to individuals and groups.
• Address the needs of diverse student populations.
• Collaborate with campus stakeholders and provide crisis intervention.
• Review housing accommodation requests.
• Maintain relationships within the College community.
• Deliver education and outreach programs.

Requirements

• Master's degree and appropriate licensure in counseling or related field.
• Experience in clinical counseling with college-aged individuals.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and writing skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information ethically.
• Experience in risk reduction programming and multicultural competencies.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in administration and clinical supervision.
• Engagement in professional associations.
• Expertise in various counseling modalities and outreach services.
