Construction Intern

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Construction Intern to join our team at Home Creations in Edmond, Oklahoma. This full-time position entails assisting the superintendent in various construction, maintenance, and landscaping tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, willing to learn, and able to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landscaping, yards, shrubs, trees, and watering sod.
• Assist in minor touch-ups and punch-list activities.
• Ensure the quality of the final product.
• Communicate with subcontractors and provide recommendations to the Builder and Superintendent.
• Attend staff meetings and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma and six months of general labor experience.
• Knowledge of erosion control guidelines.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Customer service-oriented with proficiency in working with technology.

Work Environment

This role involves exposure to outdoor work sites with various weather conditions. Physical demands include standing, walking, and occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities.

Tools and Equipment

The intern may need to use a tablet/phone, tape measure, levels, and basic hand/power tools as necessary.
