CAREGIVER

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Caregiver to join Abacus Childcare as a Lead Teacher. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for formulating and implementing the curriculum, creating weekly lesson plans, and training Assistant Teachers. This role also involves maintaining positive relationships with parents and peers, as well as reporting to the Director.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and handle employee issues appropriately.
• Ensure children's files are up-to-date and accurate.
• Participate in special events and meetings as required.
• Be knowledgeable about First Aid procedures and maintain professionalism at all times.
• Lead and support other staff members.
• Monitor and order supplies as needed.
• Follow room schedules and guidelines.
• Promote positive staff incentives.
• Adhere to state regulations and center policies.

Requirements

• Professionally prepared as a teacher with a minimum of a CDA certification.
• Classroom experience and management skills are preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of state regulations and personnel policies.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule and handle office duties.
