Job Description

As a Branch Manager at Bayview Building Materials, you will be responsible for operating the branch profitably in line with company policies and procedures, ensuring the development of highly productive staff and maintaining customer service excellence. Your role will involve overseeing production, distribution, and marketing operations to maximize return on investment and foster long-term growth while safeguarding assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture a customer service-oriented culture among employees.
  • Achieve or surpass the branch's Annual Operating Plan targets.
  • Implement and uphold TAL's Safety Program within the branch.
  • Drive a robust sales program for retail and contractor clients, exploring opportunities for service and product enhancements.
  • Supervise all operational aspects, including margins, expenses, inventories, deliveries, and premises upkeep.
  • Analyze branch performance using Spruce information to enhance sales, margins, and inventory control.
  • Manage personnel activities, including recruitment, training, motivation, performance evaluation, compensation management, and staff terminations.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, marketing, and inventory management departments to meet customer requirements and support sales efforts.
  • Execute company marketing and merchandising initiatives, ensuring branch presentation standards exceed expectations.
  • Coordinate with various managers to implement policies and procedures effectively.
  • Oversee a comprehensive loss prevention strategy encompassing security, safety, and asset maintenance.
  • Prepare and maintain budgets and forecasts, keeping management informed of operational status and anticipated trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all TAL policies and regulations.
  • Cultivate and manage essential business relationships with customers, team members, industry entities, and the local community.
  • Engage with other branch managers and perform additional duties as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and education. Benefits eligibility is contingent on employment status, subject to plan rules adjustment.
