Job Description

As an Assistant Manager in Construction Field Services at Bowser-Morner Inc, you will play a vital role in supporting the Toledo-based construction materials engineering and testing services. Working closely with the Department Manager, you will oversee a team of construction materials technicians, administrators, and engineering support staff, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and meeting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project budgeting and quoting processes.
  • Oversee project management activities, including quality control and client communication.
  • Lead staff management and development initiatives.
  • Handle operations management tasks and field staff assignments.
  • Support account management and business development efforts.

Requirements

  • B.S Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
  • 4-7 years of experience in construction materials testing or engineering.
  • Engineering Intern with intent to obtain Professional Engineering License (preferred).
  • Strong consulting capabilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 80 pounds and perform duties under stressful circumstances.
  • Visual and hearing ability necessary for job functions.
  • Willingness to work in both office and active construction site environments.
