Job Description

The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is seeking a highly motivated and independently responsible Accountant to join our team. As a CPA candidate, the Accountant will play a key role in working directly with the general ledger, conducting account reconciliations, and supporting various departments. Responsibilities include developing, reviewing, and modifying accounting procedures, systems, and policies, as well as preparing and analyzing fiscal reports. The successful candidate must possess analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the general ledger, conducting account reconciliations, and assisting departments.
  • Develops, reviews, and modifies accounting procedures, systems, and policies.
  • Prepares and analyzes fiscal reports.
  • Interprets and follows the Fiscal Control Act.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and current CPA candidate.
  • Up to two years of professional accounting experience, preferably in auditing or public sector.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to analyze data and produce financial reports.
