Warehouse Worker

Job Description

We are looking for dedicated Warehouse Workers to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a crucial role in merchandise movement, ensuring efficient storage, distribution, and customer satisfaction.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position

This position involves storing, moving, and distributing products efficiently. Leading by example and providing training to colleagues is an integral part of the role.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities

• Move and condense merchandise for optimal space utilization.
• Handle merchandise for display, storage, delivery, or shipment.
• Use the POS system for inventory management.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and records.
• Receive and inspect incoming products; assemble and prepare outgoing items.
• Provide training to fellow employees.
• Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Adhere to safety policies and practices to maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform grounds and building maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards).
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Experience with POS systems is desirable.
