Job Description
We are currently seeking Warehouse Workers with experience in Forklift Operations to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. This full-time position offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour, Monday to Friday from 7:00 am. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for various merchandise movement tasks, including storing, moving, and distributing products. In addition, you will lead by example, provide training to other employees, and ensure outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently move and organize merchandise within locations for optimal space usage.
- Transport merchandise to and from the show floor, ensuring proper display or storage for delivery and customer pickup.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage merchandise flow accurately.
- Handle incoming and outgoing merchandise by unloading, inspecting, tagging, and shipping or storing as needed.
- Provide training to fellow employees and adhere to safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors to ensure inventory accuracy and professional service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards).
- Basic math skills and product assembly knowledge.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
- Experience with forklift operations and POS systems is desirable.
