Job Description
We are hiring Warehouse Workers to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and distribution of merchandise. This role includes using a forklift, ensuring inventory accuracy, providing some training to colleagues, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain space efficiency by moving and condensing merchandise.
- Handle merchandise movements to and from the show floor, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage the flow of goods.
- Lead by example and provide training to other employees.
- Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues to ensure a positive experience.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards one).
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge are required.
- Previous POS system experience is desirable.
