Join Our Team as a Warehouse Team Member at Slumberland Furniture!

We are currently seeking dedicated Warehouse Workers with experience in forklift operations to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling merchandise movement, ensuring inventory accuracy, and providing excellent customer service.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position:

This position involves storing, moving, and distributing products within our warehouse facility. Additionally, you will lead by example, provide training to other employees, and promote a culture of excellence in all tasks.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

Merchandise Movement:

• Efficiently organize merchandise to maximize space utilization.
• Prepare merchandise for display, storage, delivery, or shipment.
• Utilize the POS system to manage inventory flow and ensure accuracy.
• Handle incoming and outgoing merchandise with care and attention to detail.

Training:

Lead by example and provide training to fellow team members to enhance overall performance.

Customer Service:

Engage professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors to maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Other Duties:

Participate in lean practices, support building maintenance tasks, and adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Safety:

Follow safety policies, handle equipment and merchandise carefully, and maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (or currently pursuing).
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer knowledge.
