Warehouse Associate

Job Description

Slumberland Furniture is currently hiring Warehouse Associates for immediate placement. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for efficiently handling merchandise, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. This role offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour and the opportunity for growth within the company.

Responsibilities

• Move and organize merchandise within the warehouse for optimal space utilization.
• Transfer products to and from the show floor, ensuring proper display and storage.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to track inventory and manage transactions.
• Ensure accuracy in fulfilling customer orders and maintaining system records.
• Participate in training activities and support the development of other team members.
• Deliver excellent customer service by interacting professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies and communicate effectively with management.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, operating equipment carefully to prevent damage, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, including maintenance tasks and following lean practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; ongoing education is supported.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
• Experience with POS systems is advantageous.
