Job Description
Slumberland Furniture is currently hiring Warehouse Associates with experience in forklift operations to join our team. If you are looking for a full-time position with a starting pay of $17 per hour, this opportunity is for you! As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for merchandise movement, training other employees, providing excellent customer service, following safety procedures, and other related duties.
Responsibilities
- Move and consolidate merchandise efficiently within the warehouse.
- Handle merchandise for display, storage, delivery, or shipment.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
- Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
- Receive incoming shipments and prepare outgoing orders.
- Train and mentor other employees.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Engage in basic grounds and building maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or currently pursuing).
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Experience with POS systems is desirable.
