Utility Inspection Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a Utility Inspection Technician to join our team at Omark Consultants Inc, an industry leader in the utility segment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of gas distribution systems through leak detection and corrosion checks on underground gas lines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections on gas meters and underground distribution lines for leaks and corrosion.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Report any abnormal operating conditions detected during inspections.
• Adhere to work schedules and be prepared for occasional overtime and weekend work.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay at $23 per hour with performance-based advancement opportunities up to $24 per hour. Supervisors can earn between $25 to $30 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to walk long distances on various terrains and lift heavy items.
• Proficiency in using simple hand tools and technology like smartphones and tablets.
• Compliance with safety protocols including passing drug screening, possessing a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent education level.
