Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Merchandise Handler to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As the Senior Merchandise Handler, you will play a crucial role in the movement, storage, and distribution of products within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include optimizing space efficiency, ensuring accurate customer orders, providing training to other employees, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently move and store merchandise within the warehouse.
- Prepare merchandise for display, storage, delivery, or shipment.
- Provide training to other employees and lead by example.
- Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Experience with POS systems is desirable.
