Registered Nurses at Roswell Job Corps Center assist in the medical care and treatment of students in a school campus setting. In the absence of the Health and Wellness Director, they may serve as the acting director.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct health evaluations of new students including vital signs, hearing and vision screening, phlebotomy, and medication administration.
- Assist with medical appointments and chronic care management plans.
- Act as Co-Disability Coordinator and support HEALS committee activities.
- Attend required staff training sessions and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Minimum: High school graduate with a State RN license.
- Preferred: One year of nursing experience, Job Corps experience desirable.
- Knowledge: Sound nursing techniques, effective communication, organizational skills, ability to work independently, and current CPR certification.
Environmental Demands:
- Equipment: Ability to operate office equipment.
- Work Alone: Occasionally works alone.
- Work With Others: 85% of time spent working with team and other departments.
- Reading/Writing: Ability to read and write at a college level.
