Job Description

We are looking for a Punch Press Setup Technician to join our team at Select Industries Corp. As the Setup Technician, you will play a crucial role in setting up and operating punch press machines to produce metal parts according to specifications. Your responsibilities will include machine setup, material handling, quality control, machine operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, safety compliance, record-keeping, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration with team members is essential to ensure efficient production flow and address any issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Set up punch press machines following job specifications.
• Material Handling: Load materials onto the machine accurately.
• Quality Control: Monitor production output to meet quality standards.
• Machine Operation: Operate machines efficiently and safely.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and address machine malfunctions.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production records.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement process enhancements.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with team members for smooth production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in punch press setup and operation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of punch press machines and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring bending and stooping.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
