Position: Merchandise Handler - Overtime Available

Salary: Competitive pay starting at $17 per hour

Primary Objective & Scope of Position:
This position involves handling merchandise by storing, moving, and distributing products efficiently. The role requires leading by example and providing training to other team members.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

• Move and consolidate merchandise to optimize space.
• Handle merchandise for display, storage, delivery, and shipment.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for managing flow.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
• Receive incoming shipments and prepare outgoing merchandise.
• Provide training to colleagues.
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Adhere to safety policies, practices, and risk reduction procedures.
• Maintain a safe and organized facility.
• Perform grounds and building maintenance tasks.
• Operate equipment safely and follow maintenance guidelines.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment by assisting with additional duties as required.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (in progress is acceptable).
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Point of Sale (POS) system knowledge is advantageous.
