Job Description
Join Slumberland Furniture as a Material Handler and be a vital part of our warehouse operations. We are currently hiring skilled individuals to operate forklifts and manage merchandise movement with precision and efficiency.
Primary Objective & Scope of Position
The Material Handler role involves storing, moving, and distributing products, as well as providing training to coworkers. You will play a key role in maintaining an organized warehouse environment and ensuring accurate inventory management.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities
- Efficiently move and consolidate merchandise within the facility.
- Handle merchandise transfer to the show floor, storage, delivery, and shipping.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
- Inspect, receive, and unpack merchandise with attention to detail.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (or in progress).
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware.
- Valid driver's license and computer proficiency.
