Join our team at Slumberland Furniture as a Full-time Material Handler. We are currently seeking Warehouse Workers with Forklift Operations experience to handle merchandise movement efficiently and ensure customer orders are accurate. Primary Objective & Scope of Position

This position involves storing, moving, and distributing products, as well as providing training to other employees. The Material Handler plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that merchandise is handled with care.

Responsibilities

• Move and condense merchandise within locations to maximize space efficiency.
• Handle merchandise for various purposes such as storage, delivery, and customer pickup.
• Utilize point of sale (POS) system to manage inventory flow.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
• Unload, inspect, and process incoming merchandise; prepare outgoing items for shipment.
• Provide training to other employees on merchandise handling procedures.
• Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to safety policies and practices to prevent damage to equipment and merchandise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards).
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge required.
• Experience with POS systems is desirable.
