Job Description

We're looking for a Lead Problem Management Specialist to join Discover Financial Services, a leading digital banking and payments company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the life-cycle of assigned Corporate Risk Management Problems, identifying root causes, minimizing future impacts, and documenting actions taken to resolve issues.


  • Manage the life-cycle and coordinate actions to resolve assigned Problems.
  • Challenge root cause analysis, identify fixes, and implement preventive measures.
  • Maintain problem inventory and progress in ServiceNow.
  • Propose process improvements and mentor Service Support Specialists.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Business, IT, Mathematics, Analytics, or Statistics.
  • 4+ years of experience in Consumer Banking Call Center Operations, Project Management, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.
  • 1+ years of risk management or people management experience.

Compensation: Base pay range $75,500.00 - $127,900.00, with additional incentives.
