Job Description
We are looking for an Application Engineer (Full-Stack) to join Discover Financial Services, a leading digital banking and payments company. As part of the Collections Value Stream, you will collaborate with business partners to enhance our Probate and Bankruptcy system, focusing on modernization and scalability. The role involves developing and releasing reliable software systems, advocating for best practices, and designing solutions for the technical ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to product team deliverables using Java programming technology.
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in product delivery.
- Collaborate with business partners to analyze, design, program, test, and deploy new features.
- Guide the team on design decisions and achieve key results for assigned products.
- Lead technology communities at Discover and provide proactive design solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
- Preferred expertise in Spring Boot, React, Angular, and Cloud Technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation concepts.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring, Kafka, Openshift, and Jenkins.
