Job Description
We are looking for a Lead Machinist to join Middle River Aerostructure Systems, a global leader in manufacturing aerospace components. As a Lead Machinist, you will work in a cutting-edge machine shop, responsible for creating precision details for prototypes and production support. Your role will involve programming, operating, and troubleshooting multi-axis NC and manual milling and turning equipment.
Responsibilities
- Independently interpret drawings and specifications to perform job duties.
- Provide technical expertise to internal and external customers.
- Train and lead other machinists in complex job assignments.
- Develop NC programs and select appropriate cutters and parameters.
- Operate a variety of equipment and work on low volume, one-off projects.
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED Equivalent with technical training or relevant experience.
- Good communication skills and proficiency in productivity tools.
- Experience machining various materials such as plastics, composites, and metals.
- Ability to work independently and follow technical, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
