Job Purpose

The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in facilitating patient intake, triage, and care delivery under general supervision in an outpatient clinical setting. Responsibilities include offering stellar customer service, conducting initial patient triage, assisting with direct patient care, and performing routine medical procedures following established clinical protocols and provider instructions. We are willing to train an enthusiastic individual who is a good fit for the position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient satisfaction and relationships.
  • Stay informed about and comply with office policies and procedures.
  • Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate patient charts.
  • Contact patients with normal test results.
  • Maintain clean workspaces and patient exam rooms.
  • Perform routine procedures such as EKG, immunizations, ear lavage, nebulizer treatments, sterile dressing changes, and suture removal.
  • Administer immunizations and therapeutic injections.
  • Ensure adequate stock of exam room supplies.
  • Adhere to safety, environmental, and infection control protocols.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with company policies and healthcare regulations.
  • Preferred: Medical Assistant certification or equivalent clinical training.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Understanding of business office procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
