Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on psychiatric care for full-time, contract opportunities in Kerrville, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of inpatient psychiatric experience and possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing along with a valid State RN License. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders, actively participating as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team and ensuring patient safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care following organizational protocols.
• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs.
• Administer medications, change dressings, and monitor vital signs.
• Coordinate patient care with various disciplines for optimal outcomes.
• Utilize computerized documentation systems for patient records.
• Instruct and educate patients and families on care plans.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs.

Requirements

• Prior psychiatric nursing experience is preferred.
• Must hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
